Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between training and development (T&D), personal development (PD), crisis management, and job satisfaction among employees in the Lebanese banking sector. The study used a sample of 493 respondents, and data was analyzed using the SPSS and AMOS software. The findings showed that crisis management plays a mediating role in the relationship between T&D and PD with job satisfaction. Specifically, when employees perceive a higher level of effective crisis management practices, the positive impact of T&D and PD on job satisfaction is enhanced. Moreover, the study found that the economic crisis in Lebanon negatively impacted T&D, PD, and job satisfaction among employees in the banking sector. The results highlight the importance of promoting effective crisis management practices and investing in T&D and PD programs, particularly during times of economic hardship, to enhance job satisfaction and employee well-being. These findings have important implications for organizations in the Lebanese banking sector and can inform strategic decision-making to promote a positive work environment.
